The peculiar string of strange events continues with my family. My mom was experiencing some severe
headaches and began to lose feeling in her right hand. We took her to St. John's Hospital in Maplewood
where they did a CT scan and discovered she had a clot in her brain--a subdural hematoma. It was removed
on January 19th at St. Joe's in DT St. Paul. She is recovering very well!
My brother, Ken and his daughter, Peyton visited for a week recently.
Peyton is a feisty yet huggy little first grader with a fun sense of humor.
They were here for Super Bowl Sunday, and Peyton walked away with $50!
Unfortunately, our Bears lost, but it was a good time anyway.

We braved the cold, ice and snow to see Derek Boogaard, the Minnesota Wild's
own "Boogeyman" enforcer. The defenseman was quiet and accommodating.
Here is John getting an autograph.

We're amidst a big snowstorm. Poor Shadow can't
walk through the yard to her favorite "potty spot" since
the snow is so deep. We've had at least another foot of snow today. Will spring ever get
here?
